Department of ORAL MEDICINE and RADIOLOGY.
Overview
The Department of Oral Medicine & Radiology offers a valuable experience for students interested in the connection between dental health and overall well-being. We emphasize the dentist's unique role in diagnosing and managing oral health in the context of a patient’s total health. The curriculum goes beyond traditional dental training and equips students with essential expertise in various areas. These include salivary gland disorders, temporomandibular and orofacial pain disorders, and oral manifestations of systemic diseases. We also focus on specialized care for patients with complex medical needs. Academic excellence and compassion are at the heart of our mission to develop skilled, empathetic healthcare professionals. Our Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program lays a strong foundation in clinical practice, patient care, and diagnostics, essential for a successful dental career. For those seeking advanced specialization, our Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) in Oral Medicine & Radiology, established in 2015 with an annual intake of 3 students, offers in-depth training under dedicated faculty in a close-knit, supportive environment. Aiming for excellence in every student, our hands-on approach cultivates critical skills in diagnosis and patient care, equipping them to make meaningful contributions to the health and well-being in the community.
