The MDS program in Pedodontics & Preventive Dentistry at KLRS Lenora Institute of Dental Sciences focuses on the dental care of children and the prevention of oral health problems from an early age. Students gain exposure to diagnosis, treatment planning and the management of a wide range of paediatric dental conditions. The program combines academic learning with extensive clinical exposure, school dental health programmes and rural outreach activities. Training also includes exposure to specialised paediatric care, including treatment under conscious sedation and general anaesthesia when required.

A Structured Learning Journey in Paediatric Dentistry
The MDS program in Pedodontics & Preventive Dentistry combines academic learning, clinical training and research to help students understand the dental needs of children at different stages of growth. The department's postgraduate training includes preventive care, restorative procedures, endodontic treatment, orthodontic procedures and management of children with special healthcare needs.

Clinical training at the Department of Pedodontics & Preventive Dentistry gives students exposure to a wide range of paediatric dental cases. The department has specialised facilities including a play area, a separate postgraduate section with dedicated chairs for PG residents, a fully equipped laboratory, seminar hall and department library.
Students also get practical exposure to specialised paediatric procedures and technologies, including nitrous oxide sedation, general anaesthesia, digital dentistry, interceptive orthodontics and mini implants.
