1. Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Advanced surgical training. Multidisciplinary care. Hands-on clinical learning.
The Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at KLRS Lenora Institute of Dental Sciences focuses on the diagnosis and management of conditions affecting the teeth, jaws and facial region. The department follows a patient-centred approach, with a focus on providing care for maxillofacial problems, particularly among underserved rural communities. The department combines dentistry with medical sciences through interaction with specialties such as Neurosurgery, General Medicine, Orthopedics, Oncology and Plastic Surgery. Students receive exposure to basic oral surgical procedures, medical emergencies in the dental setting and complex maxillofacial cases, helping them build confidence in managing patients and developing a multidisciplinary approach to care.
