The MDS program in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics at KLRS Lenora Institute of Dental Sciences focuses on the preservation, restoration and treatment of natural teeth. Students develop a deeper understanding of conservative procedures and endodontic treatment while gaining clinical experience across a range of cases. The program brings together academic learning, hands-on clinical training and faculty mentorship to help students build strong treatment-planning and clinical skills. With exposure to equipment such as operating microscopes, microsurgical kits and file retrieval kits, students also get opportunities to learn contemporary techniques used in endodontic practice.
2. Program / Course Structure
A Structured Learning Journey in Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics
The MDS program combines advanced theoretical learning with clinical practice, allowing students to gradually build their skills in diagnosis, treatment planning and endodontic procedures. The department's focus covers the prevention and treatment of diseases and injuries affecting the hard tissues and pulp of the tooth, along with restoration of affected teeth.

Clinical exposure is a major part of learning at the Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics. Students work with a wide range of cases and gain practical experience in a clinical environment designed to support hands-on learning.
The department provides access to advanced endodontic equipment, including operating microscopes, microsurgical kits and file retrieval kits, along with the use of loupes and newer materials. LIDS also highlights its high patient flow, giving students exposure to different types of clinical cases.
4. Faculty & Mentorship
Learning Endodontics Through Practice & Precision
We help undergraduate and postgraduate students build strong clinical skills through hands-on training and practical learning. The department uses modern tools such as dental operating microscopes, loupes, Endosonics, intraoral cameras, digital radiography (RVG), LED curing lights and advanced endodontic equipment. With a well-equipped seminar hall and library, students also have access to the resources they need to strengthen their knowledge. The department focuses on helping students understand modern endodontic procedures, develop confidence in clinical practice and prepare for a successful career in dentistry.
